Hi everyone,
So the dictionary challenge over at The Craft Barn blog is onto week 10 and the letter this fortnight is K, to visit the blog for more info on the challenge click HERE
So the word I have chosen this time is 'kook' or 'kooky' and here are my pages:
I have used Alice in Wonderland images from The Octopode Factory which I think are kooky and eccentric. I printed them onto card, coloured them with pro markers and cut them out. I then masked my definition and coloured my dictionary pages using dylusions inks applied with a paintbrush, I used the lime and the grass colour on the bottom and london blue and turquoise on the top half for the sky. I then used a butterfly swirl mask from splodgeaway with black soot distress ink on the pages and added white acrylic paint on sequin waste to add both regular and reverse stenciling.
I added the Alice and the Cheshire cat images onto the pages, unmasked the definition and doodled around it in black pen.
I hope you can see my pages ok, I took my dictionary out into the garden to photograph it but the light was pretty bad and cast some strange shadows onto the pages.
Thanks for visiting my blog today, please feel free to leave me a comment so I know you popped by!
