Here Come The Boys

Hi All

Today I'm sharing my DT card for The Crafting Cafe.  The theme for June is 'Here Come The Boys' and this month we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles!!

So here is the card I've created using a Delicious Doodles image:

I printed the image onto High Elegance card twice from SplodgeAway - this card is great for colouring images - it is just silky smooth!

I then coloured my image of a Scottish Castle using Inktense pencils and used a water brush to blend them.  I coloured the little wooden boat again on the second printout, cut it out and mounted it onto the first image with foam pads.

I mounted my image onto navy cardstock and then onto cream.  I then added the navy ribbon and bow before attaching the whole panel onto my card blank.

The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge

Hi Everyone

The challenge over at The Octopode Factory Friday Challenge this time around is 'Boys'

Here is my project to join in with the challenge:

I used a 6x6 piece of mount board and a baby wipe to paint the mount board with three different colours of acrylic paint.

I then stamped with black archival down the left side with a clarity stamp and doodled inside the stripes to give a 'zentangle' type look.

I then used some Tim Holtz music tissue paper on the background and used some stencil waste with yellow ocher acrylic.

I printed out the Andy Warhol image from The Octopode Factory and coloured him using water soluble crayons, I fussy cut him and added him to the mount board.

I'm hoping to do a whole series of these, this one is the first, and then punch holes in the side and create a book out of them by adding jump rings - well that's the plan anyway!!

Dictionary Challenge - Letter F

Hi Everyone, it's time again for a new letter over at The Craft Barn blog!

This time the chosen letter is F but the word must be between Fe and Fr.  For all the details of the challenge click HERE. 

The word I have chosen is 'Feather' and here are my pages:

I started by masking the definition of the word feather and then sprayed my pages with white dylusions to tone down the background a little.

I then stamped my feather, from Inkylicious, across the two pages and coloured them with pencils.  

I distressed the edges of the pages with peacock feather distress ink (I felt this was the most appropriate colour for my theme!!) then added the word 'feather' down the left side with some stickers from my stash.  

I uncovered the definition and highlighted it with some stickles, which don't show up too well in the photo, I then drew a dashed line around the definition and drew around the letters also with a black fineliner.
