Hi Everyone,
Today I spent a couple of hours in my craft room playing with the Paperartsy infusions which I bought this week.
So I set about making a journal page - all the colours on the page are the infusions.
The background was the following infusions sprinkled on the page and spritzed with water: golden sands, a bit jaded and the sage.
I coloured a piece of white cotton and some lace with the infusions as well - this time using a few of the other colours. Then left them to dry whilst I continued with the background.
I used a TCW stencil and potting soil archival to add the sentiment to the page. I also edged the page with the potting soil ink.
I stamped the month 'June' and also some of the background elements from the Everything Art stamp set EEA02 with second and third generation potting soil ink.
Then I took the numbers from the EEA01 stamp plate and sprinkled on some of the Orange County infusions, spritzed with water and stamped on to the background. Then added some white paint splatters.
I stamped the face image from EEA01 onto the piece of cotton, then bleached away some of the colour from the face using water.
I layered up the piece of cotton on top of a piece of cheesecloth, a strip of hessian and the infusions coloured lace.
I don't do sewing so chose to glue them to the page - but I wish I could sew as I think that it would have really given the page a better look.
I had fun using the infusions and can't wait to try out some more ways to use them again soon.
The current topic over on the Paperartsy blog is fabric so I am entering this page into the challenge - all the challenge info can be found by clicking HERE
Thanks for looking,
Claire xx
