Hello everyone and thank you for visiting today.
I'm sharing my first Paperartsy challenge entry for 2016 - the first topic of 2016 is 'Transparent Art' but for more information please click HERE
I have decided this year that I am going to try to create a journal page for every topic and then bind them all together at the end of the year - Darcy did this for 2015, if you'd like to see her journal click HERE. Well that's my plan anyway - we'll see if I can keep up!
So here is my page:
The background is water, fresco paint (pea coat, French roast) and some Prima oil pastels.
I added Prima 3D gloss gel through a TCW stencil for some transparent texture.
The tree is on a piece of acetate stamped with black stazon - it's a France Papillion stamp for Stampotique.
I added the acetate with glossy accents then covered it up with some brads covered with Little Black Dress Fresco paint.
The word 'dream' is a little wooden diecut - I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang Midnight Sapphire embossing powder on it before adding it to the page.
Finally I added some black splatters with the left over LBD paint from the brads which I think tie it all together.
Thanks for looking,
Claire xx
I love the idea of keeping a journal of the challenges. Your tree looks beautiful, and the splatters are great.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful page, Claire!!!
ReplyDeleteEnchanting page, beautiful scene and colours pages. xx
ReplyDeleteLove the background, subtle colours that speak of winter, and the tree image on the acetate looks great on top.

It's stunning Claire, one of your best ever pieces! Xx
ReplyDeletegreat idea to keep a journal - I'm sure I'd never manage it. This is a beautiful start - can't wait to see your next project x
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful - and a lovely idea to create a year long journal from the themes. I love the depth of colour here and the transparent texture is so cool. I've been resisting that France P tree for ages, and you're not helping!
