Show us your face

Hi guys,

Another face to show you to join in with Kim's 'show us your face' regular Friday challenge. You can find out more info over on Kim's blog HERE

So here is my face this week:

I drew her in pencil, then coloured using Prima watercolour pencils.

Decided to try something a bit different today by scribbling over all the pencil lines with black fineliner.

I quite like how she turned out except her eyes are a bit wonky lol!

Added a bit of colour to the background using a few more watercolour pencils and then added a scribbled quote around her which says: Choose being kind over being right and you'll be right every time.

    She's marvellous. I love the effect of adding the scribbled penwork to the pencil lines, and the words around her head are so cool!

    Hey Claire, lovely face! So glad you linked up to Show Your Face and thanks for the shout out too. I love your pen work and how it adds to the portrait with the words almost growing out of the pen strokes. Kx
