Yesterday I had a go at creating a brayered background using Paperartsy Fresco Finish paints as demonstarted in this video by Leandra HERE.
So I started making my background just the way Leandra had shown in the video:
These are the colours I used:
I cut this background in half and used it to create a card for my friend's 50th birthday using stamps from the JOFY collection and some stamping in the background using snowflake on a Sara Naumann stamp:
With the other half of the background I did a bit of experimenting with translucent colours. I added some Zesty Zing, Limelight, Beach Hut and Cherry Red. Then I did a little bit of stencilling with Snowflake, Cherry Red and a Lin Brown stencil.Then added the word bloom using grunge paste and coloured it using Beach Hut and Zesty Zing. Then added some circles using a white sharpie and another Lin Brown stencil:

Northern Lights colours and swathes on your 50th card is glorious Claire, so so beautiful. Some fab experimenting on your 2nd half also :-) xxx
