I've had a lovely weekend at a France Papilion full weekend workshop organised by the extremely organised Sue Tucker who runs Art Workshops over on Facebook. Warning - this post has a lot of photos!!
We did two projects on the Saturday, the first was this tag book which explored various techniques and is just so cute:
Here's a little look at the internal tag pages:
Saturday afternoon saw us creating a clear stamp storage binder, but it could be used for storing loads of other stuff:
Inside it has Tim Holtz stamp holder wallets:
Then onto Sunday, this was my most challenging day as I really, really cannot sew! In the morning we created our very own journals - all decorated from scratch and bound with wax thread using the coptic binding technique, it was pretty fiddly for me but I am so happy with how my journal turned out in the end:
Here is the spine with the stitching:
Sunday afternoon we created some pages inside the journals using various techniques as directed by France. As with all journals everyone had completely different pages but here are mine:
So that was my weekend - I loved it and enjoyed it so much.
I would recommend a weekend with France to anyone and would definately book another weekend class with her if she comes back again.
Hope you enjoyed seeing my workshop creations,
