JoFY Stamps and Distress Oxides......

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing a birthday card created using Paperartsy JoFY stamps and distress oxide inks.  I am linking this card up to the current challenge over on the Paperartsy blog which this fortnight is all about hybrid inks.

So here is my card, it's 7x7 inch square:

I created a distress ink masterboard, which I then used for the leaves, flowers and the word 'happy'

All the stamping on the card was done with distress oxide ink except the blank ink which is versafine.

The stamps are all from the JoFY range by Paperartsy and are from sets JOFY 26, 53 and 54.

I cut out some of the additional flower elements from other sections of the masterboard to create more colour contrasts in some of the flowers.

Here are a few more photos:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, please feel free to leave me a comment below so I know you called by :-)

New Stamps Released - Tracy Scott for Paperartsy

Hi Everyone,

I am so happy to be able to share with you that I was lucky enough to have been chosen to create a project using the brand new stamps Tracy Scott has designed for Paperartsy - which are available right now.

Tracy has created three beautiful stamp sets which are great for both card making and journalling.

Here is a card I created using elements from two of the sets....

I created this by stamping the flowers and leaves onto watercolour card, then coloured them using my Ecoline pens, then I fussy cut the elements and arranged on the card.

I added the black repeating element underneath for contrast and to ground the flowers a little bit.

I mounted all the flowers, leaves and also the card front onto the card blank using foam pads to give extra dimension to the card.

This was such a fun project to create - there are loads of stamps that I didn't get to use from this release.

Hop on over to the Paperartsy blog HERE to see what Tracy and Carol have created and to see the release in full!

Found Objects Canvas

Hi Everyone,

The current challenge over at Paperartsy this fortnight is 'found objects' you can check out all the challenge info HERE but today is the final day to link up!

I decided today to dig out an old canvas to use - I have them in various shapes and sizes and they tend to sit neglected most of the time as I favour creating in my journal.  The canvas I chose to use was 8x8 inches and I decided to create it using shades of blues and greens:

I started by gathering my 'found objects' which were mainly old tissue paper, sticks and twigs, some old beads etc:

I started by adding the crumpled old tissue to the canvas using matt medium - creating lots of crinkles and texture.  Then I used grunge paste through a TCW stencil then at the last minute decided to add extra grunge paste with my finger and sprinkle mini art stones from Prima into it (these go everywhere and are a pain to clear up!) :

At this stage I didn't really have much of a plan but couldn't decide what to do with my twigs.....I tried placing them on in various compositions but they didn't really look right so I abandoned them for another day!

Next I added colour - I used Paperartsy Frescos in Mermaid, Bora Bora, Jade, Green Patina and South Pacific:

Then I added Snowflake - both dry brushing it on to highlight the texture and then splattering it too.
I found the lovely chipboard word quote from Scrapiniec in my stash and used it to arrange the beads around then stuck them down using Prima 3D Gloss Gel.
I embossed the chipboard quote using white embossing powder with a little gold sprinkled on too.

Next came lots of faffing with treasure gold everywhere!  I used Renaissance and Olive Bronze - it really picks up the textures.  I also brushed some over the beads and a little on the quote too.

The top photo here was taken indoors in my craft room, and the bottom one out in the garden - it's a pretty dull day here today so quite difficult to take a good photo but I hope between the two of them you can get a good idea!

Vintage UTEE Card

Hi Guys,

Over on the Paperartsy blog this fortnight the challenge is Resin/UTEE.  This is something I very rarely use - I don't have any Resin but I did have some UTEE which hadn't been used in an age so I dug it out to have a play!

I made this vintage style card using some Paperartsy stamps designed by Lin Brown:

I stamped the leaf from stamp set ELB33 onto cream cardstock using archival ink and then used about 4 layers of UTEE - which went everywhere!!

I waited until it was cool (plenty of cleaning up to do whilst waiting!) then gently bent the card to crack the UTEE and used potting soil archival ink to distress and age it further.

I created a background using infusions in Sleight Blue and Rusty Car and added some stamping from the same Lin Brown plate.

I mounted by background panel onto black cardstock and wrapped some twine around it then mounted it onto a card blank.

Then I added my UTEE leaf circle on top using foam pads to give extra dimension.

There are some great projects over on the Paperartsy blog HERE so make sure you check them out!

Thanks for stopping by,

Paperartsy Wingman For Emma Godfrey!

Hi Everyone,

I was beyond thrilled (and more than a bit surprised!) to be invited to help Emma with her brand new stamp and stencil release for Paperartsy this year.

Emma has three new beautiful stamp sets out as well as ten (yes ten!) baby stencils!  Which are so cute!

So without further ado here they all are.....

Here is the release video Paperartsy have made to go with Emma's new products.....

So lovely and very versatile and easy to work with - I found all the main focal points really easy to fussy cut making them easy to layer and create dimension with.

Here is a tag I made using EEG22 - we were asked to use a colour palette of yellow/orange/pink which was perfect for the floral elements:

I used some of the white greyboard Paperartsy sell to create this next sample with EEG24, which gave it a nice sturdy feel.  The dragonflies are fab and I loved how there were two sizes of them.  This project was really fun to make as the acetate and glitter really came together to create both dimension and a little bit of a pop!

I made some ATC's using EEG23 which were fun and quite quick to make too as I started this project by creating a masterboard.  I then cut it up into ATC sized cards and added the focal images and quotes.  The quotes on all the sets are very uplifting but this set does seem to have some fab quotes!

I also created this cute little 6x6 card using EEG22 by creating the background first and then adding repeating stamping and masking as I went.  Again the quotes came in very handy and a little bit of glitter here and there was the perfect finishing touch!

Here are some of the samples I created using the baby stencils - I used my 4 inch round gelli plate for all of them, and they fitted perfectly on it:

Finally here is a large size 10 tag created using EEG23 where I turned the large circle element into a flower - I love how striking the 'believe' stamp is on this one!

So that's all from me tonight but please be sure to check out the Paperartsy blog HERE for the full information on the release and also a list of all the stockists where you can buy the stamps and baby stencils now!

Please also visit Emma's blog HERE to see the cool samples she's been busy with and also my fellow wingman Sue Carrington - you can see her blog post HERE.

Well thanks for looking and I hope you've enjoyed Emma's newest releases with Paperartsy.

New Home Infusions Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I would like to share a new home card I made for a friend - I decided to incorporate some masking into it so I could enjoy a play along with the current Paperartsy challenge.

Here is the card:

I used a couple of different ways to mask - I cut a paper mask to protect the houses along the bottom of the card and also used my Molotow masking pen to create some stars in the sky.

The stamps used are from Paperartsy Hotpicks HP1601 and the newest Everything Art Paperartsy set with that lovely alphabet.

I used Infusions in Black Knight, Violet Storms and Royal Blue, spritzed with water.
