One Stamp, Three Ways

Hi Everyone

Darcy over on her blog Art and Sole has challenged people to use one main Christmas stamp as the focal point in different ways.

I decided to use the Paperartsy JOFY Mini 02 to create three different Christmas cards:

The first card was made by stamping the JOFY stamp onto white card, painting the background using Fresco Finish paint in Blood Orange and Zesty Zing, the star was painted with a mixture of Haystack and Old Gold.  This was then ripped and edged with Treasure Gold White Fire and added to a white square of card, the sentiment was stamped from the JOFY 06 stamp plate, the edges were then smeared with the same Treasure Gold.  Mounted onto black card and added to a card blank.

My second card was created by stamping onto black card with Perfect Medium and adding Cosmic Shimmer mica powder in blues, pinks and purples.  I mounted this panel onto a kraft card blank, stamped the sentiment (JOFY 06) and added the little pinky pearls.  (Very difficult to photograph the mica properly!)

My final card was created by stamping the mini onto some patterned paper and fussy cutting the star.  The mini was then stamped again onto white card and the paper star layered on top.  I cut a strip of the patterned paper and faux mounted it using a black pro-marker, the mini star panel was faux mounted also.  The strip of paper was added to a card blank and the star panel added to the card using foam pads.  To finish off I added some glamour dust with a quickie glue pen around the outside of the text background to give it a bit of Christmas sparkle.

So there are my three Christmas cards, to pop over to see what Darcy made with her one main stamp click *HERE*
