Dictionary Challenge - Letter D

Hello Everyone, it's time for a new letter over at The Craft Barn Blog, this time round the chosen letter is D and there is no twist for this letter.  To find out more details about the challenge click HERE

I chose the word 'Dahlia' for my pages this time:

I started by masking the definition of the word dahlia.  I then gave both pages a wash of watered down fresco paint in snowflake to blend the dictionary words into the background a bit.
I stamped the dahlia stamp by stampendous several time and did a little bit of masking to overlap them in black archival and heat set.  I coloured the dahlias using water soluble wax crayons. I then coloured the background with the crayons also.

Thanks for stopping by today!

  8. Beautiful dahlia pages. The contrast between the background and the flowers is lovely. We used to have two or three varieties of dahlia in the garden, now only one survives my tender care!
