Splodgeaway - Through The Mask

Hi Everyone

Today I have a project on the Splodgeaway Blog..  Susan challenged us with a 'through the mask' challenge where we had to use something different with our Splodgeaway masks.  I decided to use my Paperartsy Fresco Finish Paints - these are great for doing the stencil bump technique.

I created two ATC's in a few different colours:

If you want more details about how I created my ATC's hop on over HERE to the Splodgeway blog.

Dictionary Challenge - Letter Y

So the latest letter over at The Craft Barn's dictionary challenge is Y.  There is a twist this time as well - you must use the colour yellow on your page.  For all the challenge details click HERE

My chosen word is YOGA and here are my pages:

I masked the definition of the word 'yoga'. I then used Paperartsy Fresco paints in zesty zing and smoked paprika to cover the pages using a piece of cut and dry foam.
I dried the pages and then added a thin layer of crackle glaze along the bottom of the pages.  Once dry I covered the crackle glaze with french roast fresco paint so it looked like the ground was all dry and cracked.
I traced an image of the yoga tree pose onto black paper and cut it out.  I removed the masking tape over the definition and glued the yoga image to my pages.

Thanks for stopping by today to see my dictionary pages!

Here Comes Summer!

Hi All,

It's my turn to share a card over at The Crafting Cafe today.  The theme this month is "Summer's Here" and we are sponsored by LEJ Designs who are offering four free images to the winner!

I coloured the digi image with promarkers and fussy cut her.  All the backgrounds are from a set of free papers that came with a magazine recently.  The sentiment is a stamp from Acid Drops and Whatnot which was stamped into a frame and cut out.  I mounted the sentiment and the digi onto the card with foam pads for a bit of extra dimension.

There is still plenty of time to join in the challenge this month - click HERE to find the post to link up your project, remember there is a chance to win four digi images from our sponsor!

Thanks for looking!

Sketch Challenge - JUGS

Hi Everyone

I really loved the sketch over at Just Us Girls this week so have created a card to play along!

So here is the sketch:

And here is my take on it:

I spritzed water onto a piece of card and added three different colours of Dylusions and dried.  I then stamped my feather image from Inkylicious in archival black randomly onto my colourful background.  I stamped the 'thank you' sentiment also on the background card using black archival.  I then used a circle die to cut out three circles with feathers and also the sentiment.

I used an embossing folder from Papermania to emboss a strip across my card blank and then attached my colourful circles.

Thanks for stopping by today!
